What about the Negatives?

Anyone looking on the internet will find both positive and negative information about any topic they do a search on. The question one should always remember to ask is what motivates the negative people to be negative. Is it for personal gain? For example, do they get more traffic, hence more revenue by added advertising to their web site because they are able to create controversy. Or are they involved with a competitive product that they are promoting. Additional to negative topics and information found on the web, several people openly share negative information person to person, or have the same opinions based on prior negative experiences. People who use negative tactics are ether un-educated on matters or they are intently trying to deceive you likely for personal gain that is they spend their time being negative about a competitor's product because this is more profitable than being positive about their own product, or they have other personal agendas. There are particularly a lot of negative opinions about Multi Level Marketing (MLM) companies, some from people's personal experience, and some that are not founded on truth. The old adage "If you don't have anything nice to say, you should not say anything at all." should be, but is not, our societal norm. Or, quoting Mother Teresa "I was once asked why I don't participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I'll be there."

I Am Not Going to Work to Build My Distributorship Because I Don't Want to Help People Above Me:This statement is often used by people as they quit or give up and the root cause, for whatever reason, is based on jealousy.  There was once a story told about a man who owned a farm.  He needed workers, so he took to the streets to find some.  Early in the morning he obtained several and put them to work.  Three additional times through the day he returns to the street to get labors to do the work.  At the end of the day the owner of the farm paid all the workers the same amount to all who worked for him that day, the amount of a fair day’s wage.  His charity helped those who had been unemployed all day to still pay the bills and put food on the table.  Those who had worked all day were not happy because they felt they should have received more they were jealous of the gift.  All of us have a tendency to be jealous of others successes and good fortune.   If we nurture these feelings we will be miserable all the time, because we know a lot of people and there will always be someone who has good fortune.  We should focus and be thankful for our own good fortune, and what we can do to make it happen.   People mistakingly make this statement thinking they are going to hurt the people above them.  Who they hurt more is themselves.  If you feel this way remember that the person above you is going to move on, and you wouldn’t have helped them much with your attitude anyway.  The better approach is to mend the fence, or build a bridge, Remember, your success is based on their success.  And both parties will be the most successful if they work together.  When someone quits they always hurt themselves more than anyone else.   Never quit for the wrong reason, if you are going to quit make sure it is for a right reason.

What About the Negatives: There will always be negatives in anything you do.  Most negatives, especially promoted ones, are not founded on complete truth.  No matter what you are doing in your life, your job, your family, your friends, you should only address negatives to someone who has the ability to change the thing.  A good rule to adhere to, in any organization, is that any negatives go up the organization.  The reason for this is you do deserve an answer and they may have already addressed the issue or they can be addressed up an organization not down.  The best way to kill an organization is to pass negatives down.  In contrast, for best organizational growth, all positives should always go down in any and all organizations.   We do not give founded positive feedback in our society nearly as often as we should.  In other words we need to say thanks and good job more often.  The old adage "If you don't have anything nice to say, you should not say anything at all." should be, but is not, our societal norm. Or, quoting Mother Teresa "I was once asked why I don't participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I'll be there."   Let’s Be Positive!
