Killer Sex--Is Viagra Worth It?

Just when you thought it was safe to jump back into the sack, there are statistics to prove it could kill you. And even if Pfizer, the company that sells viagra, insists that their patented erection drug did not cause the 16 deaths now associated with it (Gear Magazine, Sept./Oct.,'98), the descriptions of the deaths are alarming.

In all the cases there was no warning even though most victims were over 60 years of age with heart problems (NOTE: Heart Problems are usually the cause of impotence in elderly men). They all had taken one dose when they either "passed out," "collapsed," "stopped breathing," "turned gray," had a "hemorrhagic stroke," a "brain stem stroke," or suffered sudden death by heart attack--all while performing sex.

It may be that the body renders men impotent when it recognizes that sexual activity could fatally overload the heart. But it may also be that some medications can kill.

A study which received little publicity was published recently in the medical journal JAMA. This study researched damage and death from pharmaceutical drugs, which is a subject that has never been properly studied or publicly debated. The JAMA study results: serious or fatal adverse drug reactions ranks higher than diabetes and pneumonia as a leading cause of death in America. In fact if it were ranked, death from adverse drug reactions would be among the top five causes of death in America.

So no matter how you look at it, there is a serious side effect to Viagra: Death!
