FAQ's for Phelbitis

I am trying to find information on phlebitis. It seems like one doctor had told me to cut out the caffeine. I was trying to see if there is anything special that I could do to make my leg feel better. I would like to see more nutrition that would deal with this.

Our Answer

Phlebitis is caused by an inflammation of the veins, often causing blood clots. It mostly occurs as a result of a trauma to the blood vessel wall, an infection, prolonged sitting, standing, or inactivity.

The nutritional way to help your body heal this is as follows:

  • Full Spectrum Nutrition..........Like Ultra or Total Toddy
  • Vitamin E.............................800-1200 IU
  • High Potency B-Complex.......50 mg 2 times per day
  • Vit. C with bioflavonoids........ to bowel tolerance (keep upping your dose in 1000 mg increments until you experience diarrhea, then back down 1000 mg and this is your bowel tolerance)
  • Essential Fatty Acids............ 3-6 grams per day
  • Increase Fiber..................... 10-20 grams
  • Water.................................. 64 oz. per day

Here's some links for the products that we highly recommend. We also recommend D Stress and Vitamin C 500. Hope this information helps! Good luck with your health.
